Why Choose the Akoustyx S6?

We began development of the S6 planar IEM in 2018, crafting our first 11mm planar magnetic speaker prototype. The acoustic potential was evident — but we didn’t stop there. Our goal: miniaturize planar tech to fit our award-winning R2-Series aluminum housing, without compromising performance or clarity.

It wasn’t easy. The process included countless revisions, pandemic-related delays, and material innovations — but the result is worth it: a lightweight planar in-ear monitor that delivers neutral, transparent sound in a rugged, beautifully engineered form.

  • Satin finish with color-coded polished rings for left/right identification

  • Proprietary titanium-Kevlar monocrystalline OFC cable with gold-plated MMCX Gen-2 connectors

Secure Fit with EarLock® Technology

We partnered with Surefire® USA to include their EarLock® Retention Kit, originally designed for military and tactical use. Combined with memory foam tips and multiple sizes of hypoallergenic silicone ear gels, users enjoy a secure, customizable fit with up to 34dB passive ambient noise reduction (NRR 28dB).

Assembled in the USA with Audiophile-Grade Tuning

Each S6 is designed in San Jose, California, and meticulously assembled and tuned in Nashville, Tennessee by our in-house team of recording engineers, musicians, and acoustic professionals.
